You can actually do comparison test (one fabric to the other) yourself if you just let them hang loose from a jar. The fabric should not touch the table and always have the same size. And one should not compare e.g. an ironed piece to a non ironed. What you do is count the things that stick out to the sides and measure their size; the smaller the drapier the fabric.
