Putting a crease in my trousers
Using a wax like stick, I have put creases in my trousers. This can be done by using a ruler to draw a straight line of the wax down the inside crease line which I have marked on using basting thread – as seen in the above left image. I mark on equally where I want my line to go to, turn in the correct way and then give a really hard press.
I was shown a technique of giving the crease a hard press and then using a point press as shown above to really give the crease a crisp finish by putting pressure on it. Apparently it is a technique that is favoured by tailors but is more effective if the base is wooden; this one has a coated finish which probably isn’t as good.
