Making shoulder pads

by Sophea

Using my pattern piece which is made to measure for my jumpsuit, with the back point being longer than the front as in proper tailoring, I cut an interfacing and the correct thickness of wadding. I put them together using a pad stitch as shown and gently pressed it over a tailors ham to set it in a softly rounded shape to fit the shoulder, hence why it doesn’t lay flat. I do not need to cover them as they will sit between the lining and the fabric on the inside.
